About Tax Audit Lawyer

Do you have a tax problem that requires help with the IRS? If so, there are many people just like you. In fact, there are perhaps one million Americans who need help with an IRS tax problem. Most people incurred their tax debt in the same way: runaway medical bills, costly divorce, business gone bad, or a lost job. Still, everyone has this one thing in common: they are in trouble with the IRS and looking for fast, professional help.

Some people go to non-lawyers for help, but how smart is that, really? Here is where we come in: for the same money and maybe even less, you can hire our tax law firm. When the IRS subpoenas your records from us, we can ignore it because you’re protected by the attorney-client privilege. This is not true with non-lawyers. When non-lawyers get subpoenaed they must turn over your records to the IRS. That’s scary to imagine.

When it comes to back taxes, we can help. John Ellsworth helps taxpayers with their IRS tax liability. Our firm of experienced tax attorneys, CPAs and legal assistants have helped thousands of taxpayers with their IRS debt. And best of all, our law firm focuses exclusively on providing help from IRS debt. For over 35 years we have successfully helped people just like you to achieve the best possible results for their tax burden. Call us at 1-877-IRS-SOLV for a free and confidential tax analysis.

Our founder and senior attorney, John Ellsworth, received a B.S. degree in accounting from Greenville College. He then attended St. Louis University College of Law, where he received his formal training in taxation.

After receiving his J.D. degree from the St. Louis University College of Law, Mr. Ellsworth worked for many years as a business/tax lawyer in Illinois. During this period he represented clients before the IRS where the amounts in controversy ranged from a few thousand to much, much more. He went to trial on hundreds of cases and successfully defended even a Chief of Police who was charged with a felony.

Mr. Ellsworth is licensed to practice law in Illinois,
Wisconsin and Colorado, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (which covers Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana) and various federal district courts, as well as the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the
Wisconsin State Bar, the State Bar of Colorado, American Bar Association, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, American Bankruptcy Institute, and Illinois State Bar Association.
John serves as a Military Pro Bono attorney and assists U.S.
service members in need of pro bono legal assistance.

John Ellsworth is married and lives with his wife and their 15 guinea pigs in a Chicago suburb. Together Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth run a guinea pig rescue for pigs abandoned in pet stores and pigs about to be put down by vets because their owners can no longer keep them. Caring for the animals is John’s favorite hobby. John is also a member of PETA. There are also three grown daughters and eight grandsons and one granddaughter to keep things busy around the holidays.

Experience counts in law. John Ellsworth has been licensed for over 35 years.

“You literally saved my life,” said one man for whom a prison sentence would have meant certain death. “I wouldn’t have seen my children again for 25 years,” said another man whose charges were extremely serious. “Thank you for saving my business,” countless other clients have said, happy to retain their businesses and business interests after coming to agreement with the government. “I would have lost my job and maybe my family if I couldn’t continue in my work,” said one woman.
